blog hard to use

Btw. I find this site pretty difficult to use, with pages in all types of different formats and no clear links back to where you started from... Maybe that's why nobody else has posted anything yet? Or am I not looking in the right spot?

Introducing myself

Hi everyone, My name is Vincent Conitzer, I'm a Ph.D. student at CMU (just finished my 4th year) working with Tuomas Sandholm, so I actually live in Pittsburgh. Nevertheless I'll still get a trip out of it as I'm at IBM Research (Yorktown Heights) for the summer. AAAI will be very busy for me with the Doctoral Consortium and various papers to present (and my girlfriend will probably want to spend some time with me as well while I'm there...), and I'm leaving on Wednesday to go to a game theory conference, so it's going to be packed.

About AAAI05blog

AAAI05blog is a student group blog about the the 20th National Conference on Artificial Intelligence (AAAI-05) and the 17th Innovative Applications of Artificial Intelligence Conference (IAAI-05) held 9-13 July 2005 in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania.

The idea is to have a small group of students attending the conference post daily blog items to AAAI05Blog describing their observations, experiencing, reactions, thoughts, etc. Pictures from the conference can be uploaded to our AAAI05 Flickr photo blog. The blog will describe and document the conference from a student's perspective with the ultimate goal of helping AAAI better engage its student members and, hopefully, attract more of them.

Bloggers will be asked to start by briefly introducing themselves, describing why they are going to AAAI and discussing what they hope to get out of it. After the conference is over, we'll ask bloggers to comment on the experience, what they found most stimulating, and how the next AAAI could be changed to improve it for student attendees.

We welcome everyone to participate by adding comments to existing posts.
